About the Texas Women’s Health Foundation

The Texas Women’s Health Foundation was created in April 2007 in Austin as an initiative of the Women’s Health Caucus in the Texas House of Representatives. While the two groups share origins, the Foundation’s mission is strictly an educational one.

The Foundation’s primary objective is to discover and circulate the most up-to-date, medically factual research and information on matters affecting the health of Texas women and their families. First among its health-education outreach efforts is an Annual Conference produced by the Foundation for the purpose of examining women’s health topics inside a unique forum that brings together policy makers, professionals from the medical community, public health officials and division managers, and other interested parties.
